AMD Ryzen 5 4500U & Ryzen 7 4700U Gaming FPS Performance Benchmarks Officially Tested By Legit Reviewers

Most-awaited AMD Ryzen 4000 series Renoir APU gaming benchmarks revealed by South East Asian tech enthusiasts. Two ultra low powered APUs have shocked many people who prefer them to be inside Ultrabook Laptops. Surely, they are Ryzen 7 4700U and Ryzen 5 4500U APUs without SMT feature. That means only one thread per core configuration is set.

So, Ryzen 7 4700U has 8 Core 8 Thread 8MB L3 Cache running at base clock of 2.0 GHz and boost 4.1 GHz frequency. In Cinebench R20, Ryzen 7 4700U gets 441 points in single thread score and 2510 points in multicore successfully beating Core i7-10710U, i7-1065G7 and i5-10210U mobile processors.

Shockingly, defeated 10th Gen Intel Comet Lake and Ice Lake Core i5 laptop users must surrender to faster and cheaper Ryzen 5 4500U which has highhandedly destroyed Core i5-10210U and i5-1035G1 quad core processors. Reminder, both Ryzen 4000 U APUs are set at 15W TDP by default in all budget laptops like Acer Swift 3 and Asus Vivobook.

In CS:GO gameplay test Ryzen 5 4500U APU gets stable 60 fps at 1080p Medium settings but during intensive shooting between online gamers the fps drops down to 42. You just need to realize that this performance is coming from iGPU RX Vega 6.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare online shooter plays really good with Ryzen 5 4500U APU for budget gamers if you set the resolution down to 720p, here at 1080p low settings the fps drops till 25 fps in intensive shoot out. Sweet spot settings for this game is medium preset at 720p.

Dota 2 is the best real-time strategy game which require high core count CPU but you may getaway with low end GPU. That’s why on basic settings’ better looking graphics preset of Dota 2 the Ryzen 7 4700U maintains 40 to 60 fps at 1080p resolution. At 720p you might get higher fps and less choppy visuals.

The worst optimized esports game title is of course PUBG. Many champions play PUBG at the lowest settings to get higher frame rates to aim and react quickly. Anyhow, Ryzen 7 4700U manages to hit above 30 fps on lowest settings at 1080p and sometimes it goes down to 22 fps in shoot out process. Therefore, PUBG developers have created PUBG Lite version for low end PC and laptop users.
