Ryzen 5 3400G vs Pentium G5400 w/ RX 560: Testing CS:GO, Fortnite, LoL, GTA 5, AC Odyssey, The Witcher 3 and Battlefield 5 at 1080p Resolution

Day by day APUs become fancy but many are skeptic about their performances in playing high specs requiring games. Flagship APU Ryzen 5 3400 is always on the spot when benchmark tests come in terms of average and low frame rates. Quite well known SkuezTech Youtube channel dares to test cheap Intel Pentium G5400 with Radeon RX560 and R5 3400G with Vega 11 graphics. Playing seven most played games brought interesting results. SkuezTech prepared a test system that includes Asus ROG Strix B450-F Gaming Motherboard, 16GB RAM and 64 Bit Windows 10 OS.

Open World AC Odyssey is actually hard to play using APU and budget PC, therefore low FPS show the awkward weakness of G5400 and APUs.

G5400 with RX 560 is perfect in playing Fortnite at 1080p resolution because more than 60 FPS can be enough for smooth gaming.

Just like AC Odyssey The Wither 3 provides an awful problem for all of them but G5400 with RX 560 could reach near 60 FPS.

War loving gamers could be frustrated by seeing the results of the 4 budget options while playing Battlefield 5.

LoL is perfect for all of them since they have more than 60 average FPS.

CS: GO is also perfect as Battlefield but R3 2200G shows minimum 56 FPS

Only G5400 with RX 560 can deliver smooth GTA 5 gameplay by showing the highest average 68 FPS.

In these gameplay tests, Ryzen APUs could show lower results than G5400 with discrete RX 560. There are some thoughts rise in my brain saying: “APUs still need significant improvement to save money of budget PC lovers.”
