BARK’s Revenue Rises Higher Than Last Year, New CEO Comes Into Operation

Matt Meeker, co-founder and executive chairman of BARK, will become the new Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2022. Manish Joneja, who has served as the company’s CEO since 2011, will step down from the company in April 2022, to be closer to his family. The company also announced that it has reached $140.0 million in revenue for the third quarter of fiscal 2022, which represents a 33.1% increase from the same period in the previous year.


Matt, who has been with the company since its inception, said that he is keen to assemble on the impulse rise that Manish has led the company to. He believes that the company’s scale and brand will enable it to grow in areas such as food and health. Matt stated that the company’s robust holiday season and strong financial performance highlighted the company’s unique value proposition, which is its ability to provide digitally native dog products. The company’s introductory financial results for the third quarter of its fiscal year 2022 are based on its current estimate of its revenue.
