Coupang Values Its Insiders Making Them Own More Shares

Coupang, Inc. is an e-commerce company that provides various products and services in South Korea. It operates through its mobile apps and Internet websites. Some of the investors of Coupang Inc. were worried that Thuan Pham, the company’s CTO, sold a huge amount of stock at a low price. However, this transaction only accounted for a small portion of their holding. As a matter of fact, this was not the first time that Thuan sold shares of Coupang. In fact, in 2021, he and his colleagues sold $12 million worth of shares at a price of $33.17.

Over the last year, 57.14k of shares have been sold to shareholders, they were worth $2 million. On the other hand, they sold 761.03k shares worth approximately $24 million. Coupang’s insiders own 10% of the company’s shares. This level of insider ownership increases the chances that the company is being run in the interests of all shareholders. This indicates a great and prosperous future for the investors and the company itself, which may lead to higher revenue outcomes.
