Hemogenyx Pharmaceuticals (HEMO.L) Shares Dip 3.66%: Time To Risk?

A member of the scientific advisory board of HemoGenyx Pharmaceuticals has received the American scientific equivalent of the Nobel Prize. The innovative work of H. Michael Shepard’s discovery of Herceptin, currently a widely prescribed breast cancer drug, was awarded the Lasker-DeBakey Clinical Medical Research Award in 2019. The Lasker Foundation said that Shepard’s research “has developed a new drug discovery plan that has already given tens of thousands of women time and quality of life.” Hemogenyx Executive Director Vladislav Sandler said:” We are very pleased that Dr Shepherd’s life-saving work has been recognized with this prestigious award, and we are lucky to have such an outstanding scientist advising advanced cancer research in our own organization.”
