How to Step by Step Reset Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 to Factory Settings Without Installation Disc

Windows OS is not easy to learn if you are not computer savvy. Today we will share with you a knowledge from Ash KetChu Youtuber who shows step by step guide to reset your Windows 8, 8.1 or 10 excluding installation disc. Let’s look at the steps below.

Step 1

Open Start menu

Click update and security

There are two options for resetting this PC. The first option removes installed programs on settings but keeps your personal files on documents. On the other hands, the second option removes everything, we use this option.

Also, you’ll be prompted with another two options: the first option resetting your PC quickly this option is good if you still own this PC the second option resetting your PC and clean the drive it means to wipe everything. It’s a good option if you decide to sell your PC and make it harder for someone to recover your removed files but this option gonna take a few hours so it’s up to you.

Second Option

Now let’s assume your PC suffers from slowness and you can barely reach these options there is another way to access this feature

Step 1

From Start menu click power button press and hold Shift key and click on restart

You are taken to the screen select troubleshoot

Select Reset this PC

Here we are prompted with the same options for resetting your PC. We choose ‘Remove Everything’.

Two options come out. We click ‘Just remove all my files’
