Intel Ice Lake Core i5-1035G4 Beats AMD’s Ryzen 5 3550H by 30% In Single Core Benchmark

Intel is struggling with outdated 14nm chips in desktop market but still dominating AMD in laptop side. Thanks to 10nm quad core chips with marketing name called Ice lake by Intel. Recently, Geekbench database has been inserted with a shocking information about Core i5-1035G4 processor with Integrated Iris Plus Graphics detected on latest unreleased Surface Pro 7 laptops.

Staggering 818 points from single core score result means that i5-1035G4 is 30% faster than AMD’s powerful 12nm Ryzen 5 3550H Picasso APU found on midrange gaming laptops. Similarly, 4 core counts and 8 threads are found on both chips but base frequency speeds differ from each other’s.

Another notable achievemnet of Ice Lake Core i5 is the multi core score of 2412 against the AMD’s Ryzen 5 got only 1993 points. All these results are translated into dominance of Intel Ice Lake chips in terms of performance and efficiency but pricing wise they are ridiculously not friendly for general consumer market. Next year’s upcoming AMD Renoir APUs seem like a genuine threat for Intel and Nvidia as well due to 7nm node technology.
