Time is always running out and with it the old rules in companies. This happened with IBM. The company is on its way to finishing the spin-off of its $19 billion managed infrastructure services business.
The spin-off company will be named Kyndryl, and shareholders of IBM will receive the shares of the new company as the deal will be done. In the last week, the company has provided to the investors a few details about what the new IBM will look like after the separation.
IBM will change the way they report their financial results once the spin-off is complete. The company will divide its business into three main segments: consulting, software, and infrastructure. The software will be the largest segment. According to 2020, the software will generate $23 billion of annual revenue when the consulting will generate $16 billion and infrastructure $14 billion.
