Through a pioneering new approach, Nordic and Nokia have established a licensing process that will allow companies to acquire the rights to use Nokia’s extensive portfolio of cellular patents. The new agreement is the first of its kind and will streamline the Standard Essential Patent licensing process for companies delivering Internet of Things (IoT) products and services. Nokia has been a leader in the development of open standards, and many of the company’s fundamental inventions are used in today’s cellular devices.
The results will be made available on its website immediately after the publication. Nokia’s President Jenni Lukander praised the company for its continuous effort in finding effective licensing solutions for the Internet of Things. The new approach will help simplify the process of securing licensing agreements for new products and services. Nokia is expected to report earnings on February 3, 2022. It is expected to report a YoY decline in earnings of 29.41%. Nokia closed at $5.57, up 1.46% from the previous day. The move outpaced the S&P 500’s loss of 1.22%. On February 3, 2022, Nokia will release its fourth-quarter and annual financial results.
