Nvidia Officially Announced RTX 3090, 3080 & 3070 GPUs At Live Event: Biggest Performance Leap Over Previous Generation Of Graphics Cards

RTX Ampere Graphics Cards are upon us. At last, Nvidia stepped up to improve performance per dollar aspects of their GPU product line using 8nm Samsung process node. Tonight, legendary and ambitious Nvidia CEO, Jensen Huang has delivered history-marking speech celebrating 21 years of high performance gaming experience since 1999. Previous generation of GeForce RTX 2000 series are the first of their kind in running real-time Ray Tracing feature, but they were unlucky ones due to premature Ray Tracing function which resulted some performance penalties. Very limited Triple A game titles released since RTX product launch. Probably, game developers found it difficult to implement some optimizations to increase frame rate. Best ever Ray Tracing game is Metro Exodus that runs very silky smooth across all RTX family. Most low frame rate issues were finally fixed after effective implementation of DLSS 2.0 (Deep Learning Super Sampling) technology. Many reviewers thanked Nvidia engineering team for their tremendous hard work for creating DLSS 2.0 which has a staggering impact to recreate objects in real-time Ray Tracing using Artificial Intelligence enhanced by Tensor Cores. Let’s see how RTX 3000 series will be able to utilize their RT cores, till then, gamers should wait little more to see real-time performance metrics. Both Ray Tracing enabled Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles are just around the corner and hardly sharpening their software stability for winter holiday season.

RTX 3090 Specs

Flagship RTX Titan replacement GPU appears to be RTX 3090 monster graphics card with enormous 36 TFLOPS in terms of shaders, 69 Ray Tracing TFLOPS and 285 Tensor TFLOPS. Record marking 24GB GDDR6X Micron PAM4 enabled video memory is a huge highlight. CEO Jensen Huang again reiterated that RTX 3090 is focused on professional environment for digital creativity and finally gaming experience at 8K display running smooth up to 60 fps frame rate.

Of course, DLSS 2.0 is playing a bigger role here to run Ray Tracing engine without a performance hit even at 8K resolution. Additionally, 8K HDR Shadow Play recording is included too. So the official launch date is set to 24th September 2020. $1499 reasonable pricing for RTX 3090 is understood by many enthusiasts due to it’s cutting edge performance capacity.

RTX 3080 Specs

Gaming flagship GPU 2020 of Nvidia is RTX 3080 with 10GB GDDR6X VRAM, 30 Shader TFLOPS, 58 Ray Tracing TFLOPS and 238 Tensor TFLOPS. Launch date is confirmed in 17th September 2020. Performance wise, RTX 3080 will be twice the performance of last gen RTX 2080.  Official price is unveiled at $699 after long speculations by tech reviewers. Thanks to Nvidia for lowering flagship GPU price, everyone will remember this moment where consumer wins in competitive times between AMD and Nvidia.

RTX 3070 Specs

Now, here is the little one, the favorite GPU of mid-range segment lovers. It is RTX 3070 affordable graphics card with solid $499 price tag. RTX 3070 is similarly priced at RTX 2060 Super level but offers 1.5x faster performance compared to RTX 2080. Well, sweet spot GPU competition is always happening within mid-range category. At last, RX 5700 XT is beaten in performance and price terms. Specs wise, RTX 3070 packs a loaded punch of 20 Shader TFLOPS, 40 Ray Tracing TFLOPS and 163 Tensor TFLOPS.

Well-known and greatest Nvidia CEO of all time, Jensen Huang said “Come to Papa” while showing flagship RTX 3090 in special live event. Exciting news for gamers worldwide, Nvidia listened well every opinion of enthusiasts and came up with great solutions in graphics technology.
