Ocugen Inc (NASDAQ:OCGN) stock is tanking hard in the late afternoon session following the report that USTR Katherine Tai will have talks about intellectual property waiver regarding COVID-19 vaccines.

Ocugen (OCGN) Stock Suddenly Falls On Intellectual Property Waiver Update

After trading in the green for the session, OCGN slipped suddenly and now trading lower by 10.15% at $11.24 after falling to a session low of $11.05. The stock has fallen about 18% from its session high of $13.75.

The Ocugen (NASDAQ:OCGN) stock has been one of the major gainers in recent week and much of that has been due to its decision to partner with Indian firm Bharat Biotech to distribute the COVID 19 vaccine Covaxin in the United States.

Back in December 2020, the Ocugen stock was trading at 30 cents a share but the news of the partnership changed the situation completely and at one point earlier on this year, the stock hit $18.77 a share.
