Rebuilding Lives: Encompass Health Launches Major Utah Expansion

Encompass Health (NYSE: EHC) is planning to open a new 50-bed rehab hospital in St. George, Utah. This facility will help people recover from serious conditions like strokes, brain and spinal injuries, amputations, and other complex health issues.

Patients will get round-the-clock nursing care along with physical, occupational, and speech therapy, all focused on helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life. A skilled team of nurses, therapists, and doctors will provide the care.

The hospital will feature private rooms, a large therapy gym with advanced equipment, a special area for daily living practice, an on-site dialysis unit, a dining room, a pharmacy, and a therapy courtyard.

Kim Steward, who leads Encompass Health’s West region, said they’re excited to expand in Utah and support the St. George community with high-quality, personalized rehab care.

The hospital is expected to open in 2027 and will be the company’s second location in Utah, adding to their nationwide network of rehab facilities.
