Ripple Gives Ukraine Over 1 Million Dollars Of Support

In support of Ukraine’s humanitarian situation, blockchain company Ripple has donated $1 million to various organizations. Donations to the fight against Russia have poured into the country. Brad Garlinghouse, the CEO of Ripple, criticized Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. His company also donated $1 million to the World Kitchen, a humanitarian organization that feeds the displaced people in Ukraine and other neighboring countries. Garlinghouse noted that the company’s employees have donated to humanitarian organizations at a 2:1 ratio. He also mentioned that they’re planning on launching a crypto-to-cash program to help those in need in Ukraine.

Since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, over 100,000 crypto donations have been made to the country’s government and an organization that provides support to the military. Over 96,000 cryptocurrency donations have been made to Ukraine’s government since the beginning of the year. Nonfungible tokens have also been accepted as part of the donations. One notable example is the sale of NFTs to raise funds for Julian Assange.
