Testing Resident Evil 3 on Radeon RX 5600XT

The call from Brad was too late. Jill got serious trouble with a monster that breaks walls easily. Overall, Resident Evil 3 is exiting like the prequels. Radeon RX 5600XT with a game setup consisting of Intel Core i7 4770K on the Gigabyte Z87-D3HP motherboard shows pretty performance. While the GPU price is very affordable and cheaper than RX 5700XT one should enjoy it with its decently smooth running.

The testing comes from ClevoGame – infamous tech enthusiast Vlogger from Youtube. Let’s take a look at tests with three different resolutions: 1080p, 1440p and 2160p.

The frame time is very short here. Meanwhile, its frame rate is the highest which reaches about 150 FPS. By the way, 16GB DDR3 RAM is used for it is becoming very common nowadays. Just five years ago people were happy with 4GB.

1440p has shown an average frame rate that is around 85 FPS. Actually, this resolution is normally used now while 4k obviously tanks the FPS. The frame time became higher as expected. Above 12ms it has been appearing so often while playing the RE3.

As the image gets clearer the frame rate gets lower while the frame time surely increases till 20ms on average. AMD intended to make RX 5600XT mainstream graphics card because the majority of modern games do not require much the high-end PC components.

The temp also gets higher when the resolution increases gradually from 1080p to 1440p then 2160p. However, 1080p and 1440p show same results.
