Simultaneous Multi-Threading or Hyperthreading is meant to utilize all the threads rather than physical cores alone. It actually removes a hardship from cores by allowing threads to work. There were many SMT: On vs Off tests of Ryzen 3000 processors. Mostly high-end Ryzen 9 lineups get testing challenges. This time we have a chance to see test results of Ryzen 7 3700X at 4.3GHz boost clock. When SMT is on 16 threads work simultaneously. While it is off only 8 are on the work. It is highly expected that the frame rate may increase if SMT is off. We shall see that referring to tests of famous Youtuber called Testing Games.

The results from 8 games are different but overall high results go to SMT – Off CPU. Multi-threading is effective in making the processor live longer by delegating the work of physical cores to multiple threads.
