Under $20 Netis WF2409E WiFi Router Performs Swiftly In My Modest House

I often use my smartphone in my room although being an addictive software engineer. Finding the most reliable and cheap Wi-Fi router has never been that easy so I set a goal to find the best cheap Wi-Fi router under $20 with the best features available at this price point.

So after lots of research, I was able to find Netis WF2409E which is a cheap Wi-Fi router. It costs only $19 on Amazon at the time of this review. Let’s first, look at the features of the router that supports 12,100 megabits per second Wi-Fi speed with dual-band 5.8 gigahertz and 2.4 gigahertz. It has three external antennas; two antennas for 2.4 gigahertz and one antenna for 5.8 gigahertz band for one gig Ethernet port.

So here I’m doing a test and I’m standing 30 feet away from the router in the basement with a couple of walls between the Wi-Fi router and the phone I have. So far the Wi-Fi router has a solid Wi-Fi connection with good speed.

Now let’s move from the basement to the main floor of the house and do a second Wi-Fi street connection test again so far our connection is strong at a good speed I’m able to connect 2.4 gigahertz and 5 gigahertz bands without any issues.

Let’s move to the second floor of the house and do a third fast speed and connection test. Here we have two floors and a few walls between the router and the phone again so far the signal strength is strong for both the 2.4 gigahertz and 5 gigahertz bands the speed has dropped a little bit. I would say close to 50% connection speed drops but enough bandwidth to handle any Wi-Fi speed.

Now for the final and toughest test for this, I’m going outside the house. Here we have now a stone wall main floor and a few regular walls between the Wi-Fi router and the phone and the distance are close to 60 feet or more. Wi-Fi connection speed has dropped but still able to connect a 2.4 gigahertz but 5 gigahertz band is no longer available so I guess we are hitting the limit here.
