Will American Airlines (AAL) Stock Rise After Purchasing 1,000 Planes?According to a statement released Thursday, American Airlines, Virgin Atlantic Airways Ltd., and aircraft lessor Avolon Holdings Ltd. have committed to buy up to 1,000 vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, or eVTOLs, from Vertical Aerospace, marking the company’s first commercial order. The deal is scheduled to be completed in the second part of this year.
